Unbeatable missions
This is a very frustrated and very unhappy Bunny. Is it just me or are there unbeatable missions/ Quests in this bloody frustrating game. Again i have hit brick walls whilst playing this game. I am not a member of a guild and mostly play on my own with heroes & henchmen my main two charactors are warrior /Monk and Paragon / warrior both level 20 and with some but not many "Elite skills" i have returned at least five or six times to missions / quests and am being defeated every time by unbeatable foes. for instance the mission / quest " Heart of the Shiverpeaks" i found it difficult to get to the 3rd level without 60% DP and then come up against "Cyndr the mountain heart" and am destroyed by her every time I cannot even make a dent in her DP. beaten six times so I gave up.
Next :- Mission / Quest "the anvil of Dragrimmar" again after 2 hours plus to get to level 3 with 60% DP only to come up against "The Remnant of Antiquities" and again found he is totally unbeatable. beaten at least 5 times So I gave up. third :- The Battle of Turai's Procession" the field is flooded with so many "Margonites" that my team is totally overwhelmed and although i had full DP, I was soon reduced to 60% DP and my whole team is wiped out continiously beaten so many times to count,So I gave up. fourth:- quest "Veiled threat" to go to Rragors Menagery and destroy Rragor & his creations. The problem here is that you have to travel through such heavilly defended land just to get to Rragors cave that your DP is 60% so when entering the cave you are easy meat for the Charr which await you there after eight attempts and keep getting wiped out guess what ? yes I gave up. fifth:-quest "Tekks war" again 3 levels but I could not get through the second level as the foe "Blooming nettles" wiped out my team so many times I lost count so once again I gave up. sixth :- and last quest "Dredging the Depths" it took me 3 hours to get through the first two levels and again my DP was not too healthy then I came up against the "Mummy" army in level 3 the ancient blademaster/cavalier/tomb carver/statue I could not defeat them as they respawn immediately after you kill them. and when I got wiped out for the 30th time with 60% DP and I never got past the first reserection shrine these were also unbeatable so :- you guessed it I gave up after nearly 4 hours of playing with nothing to show for it but increased blood pressure the air blue with swear words and a very frustrated gamer. Whilst I appreciate that the games would not be so much fun if they were too easy surely you must be able to win eventually but this is not so, and I am not playing hard mode but what is supposed to be the easier level so I think I will go back to free cell or solitaire as at least you are allowed to win in those games. I have bought all four main games in GW and the first two Prophesies & Factions were enjoyable but nothing much was achieved especially the fact that no heroes were to be won . Nightfell & EOTN were more rewarding in that you could with luck and determination "win " Heroes which could strengthen your "team" but with a limitation of three maximum Heroes allowed in a team of 8 you are still weakened by the use of 4 henchmen who are uncontrollable by the player.where as the first two games are now too easy when you take level 20 heroes with you but the cash & objects won are meager in comparison to the the latter two, also there are not many elites to be won so you ask yourself the question why bother? also comparing the first two to the second two games the second two are so much more difficult which was at least challenging but not when you come up against unwinnable quests / missions. I have just one character slots left to fill (7 of 8 )so I will build up that last character until I get to level 20 and then erase GW from my computer as all the other characters are now hitting against the six brick walls I have mentioned above and of course you cannot "progress" until all those levels have been beaten so of course brickwalls they will stay.I know I will be advised to join guild which in 6 months or so I have been playing GW I have resisted because I am essentially a loner and enjoy the thrill of "going it alone" also I do not like letting people down when a mission is failed by my mistakes. In conclusion many thanks to GW for giving me 6 months of enjoyment it is a shame it must come to an end but I am no longer enjoying spending 3 to 4 hours on my computer with nothing achieved at the end of it. Sorry about the rant but I needed to let off steam somewhere. Last edited by Amorica Gem; Feb 24, 2009 at 11:17 PM // 23:17.. |

roll 3 [Ray of Judgment] monks with [smiters boon]
the quests/missions your describing are generally easy with some form of party support like N/Rt healers and the RoJ monks smiteway team. work on your team setup. the hardest quest ive encountered in eotn so far would have to be the one where the rose focus is the reward. (get it from gwen) |

As others have mentioned, maybe you should try one of the popular hero team builds such as these:
Sabway ROJ Heroway Or, check out pvxwiki for more build ideas. |

The forum is not for rants. Maybe if you asked a question, you would find an answer on how to beat these missions and quests. Closed.
